Singing

As these terms have led us to Christmas, there have been many extra opportunities for our pupils to perform musically. From the school hall to the Colston Hall, our pupils have been learning to sing with experts and entertaining us all:
- Y4 pupils have enjoyed the coaching of Cara Clark from the South Gloucestershire Music Service and recently performed their repertoire for their parents.
- You may have seen our Y5 pupils in the Evening Post whent they proudly represented our school to sing with a multi school choir and Kingsfield’s bands at the Colston Hall.
- Staff and parents really enjoyed the Nativity performed by Reception and Y1 who were joined by some KS2 pupils in support.

Lifeskills
Teaching our pupils about everyday life and the dangers it can throw at us is vitally important education. This term’s efforts to address this have included:
- Y6 visit to the Bristol Lifeskills Centre where pupils worked together to solve potentially
dangerous scenarios.
- Y5 pupils were visited by the Fire Service to highlight safety in the home.
- Y1 pupils were well instructed in how to find safe places to cross roads in the feet first campaign organised and run by Mrs Sheppard with Mrs Jordan, Mr Bull, Mrs Tomkings, Mrs Dew and Mrs Palmer.

Science Visit
Our Y6 pupils have also been learning about the water cylce and how water is transported into and out of our homes from the expert knowledge of our visitor from the Bristol Water Company.
