Child Protection
In view of the day to day contact schools have with children, all staff have an important role to play in recognising suspected cases of child abuse. They are therefore obliged to report any suspicious disclosures to the Headteacher/Deputy Headteacher, who in turn will inform parents/carers and alert the social Services Department.

Any member of staff who does not follow this procedure will have been deemed to have acted improperly should they not have taken appropriate action.

Parents may seek advice and guidance from the Education Welfare Service, or may contact Social Services directly. Please view the school’s Safeguarding and child Protection Policy here.
